President Roberto Mukaro Borrero of the Taino Tribe, indigenous of the Bahamas, Greater Antilles and the northern Lesser Antilles, was honored for his efforts in standing up for the Taino Nation when the world systems said the Taino Nation did not exist anymore. He fought to keep his nation recognized as a legitimate people group.
