INDIVIDUALS FROM FIFTY NATIONS RECEIVE HONOR ON CAPITOL HILL


50 Nations in Attendance on Capitol Hill

On April 23, 2016, we witnessed an overwhelming representation of well-deserving individuals from fifty nations of the world.  These leading and hardworking world-changers came in response to the opportunity to be honored by IChange Nations™ and Golden Rule International.  This is ICN/GR’s largest gathering to date as they work to unify diverse cultures through the Culture of Honor.



In search of people deserving of honor at global, national, state, and community levels, ICN alumni and Golden Rule International Ambassadors outdid themselves in the by-invitation-only event.  Quality individuals who have made positive contributions in helping mankind came from all over the globe to Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C., to receive honor in the presence of their peers.

Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, Founder and President of IChange Nations™ commented, “It is always such a humbling experience to be in the presence of great men and women, hardworking leaders, doing good things to help mankind. Those being awarded honor are living the Golden Rule, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ We continue to look to expand our message of establishing Cultures of Honor to reach every corner of the world. We are Bringing Back the Lost Art of Honor one person, one country at a time.”

Rivers went on to say, “I am so encouraged to see our IChange Nations™ Statesmen and Stateswomen as well as our Golden Rule Alumni Ambassadors always growing the movement of honor in the individuals they nominate for our events. Truly phenomenal.”

SENATOR JEFF FLAKE OF ARIZONA RECIEVES GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL HONOR AWARD

Phoenix, Arizona - Thursday October 15, 2015 at the United Peoria Foundations State of the World Conference, Senator Jeff Flake was honored with the Golden Rule International Award. State Representative, Tony Rivero, Founder of the United Peoria Foundations, organized and hosted this historic event. Senator Flake was being honored for his life style that reflects the fact that he chooses to treat others the way he would like to be treated. This is the premise established for our Golden Rule Ambassadors around the world. As a Senator for the State of Arizona, Jeff Flake has always looked to empower every individual because he believes that every life is valuable. This is reflected in his policy making as well as his life style.

WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR DR. CLYDE RIVERS WINS MARTIN LUTHER KING LEGACY OF PEACE AWARD

In San Jose, California on October 18, 2014, Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers was surprised and honored by the presentation of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award.  The President of the Martin Luther King Foundation, of the Santa Clarita Valley, Kathleen Flynn and the Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed and other respected officials, presented the award to Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers.

The Martin Luther King Foundation has been active in the Santa Clarita Valley for well over 30 years. Every year this organization chooses to honor the top mountain movers whose lives are representative of the great work Dr. Martin Luther King accomplished in his life, Civil Rights Laws in the United States of America. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I’m very humbled by the Legacy of Peace Award from the pioneer of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King through this prestigious Foundation.”


There is great work being accomplished by Ambassador Rivers and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Golden Rule International Award, as well as Dr. Clyde Rivers’ organization, iChange Nations. Together they are in over 120 nations of the world proclaiming the Golden Rule, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers went on the say, “I believe this Global Ethic can change the world. In Washington DC, September 5, 2014 at the United States Capitol Building, Dr. Jerry Pierce Jr. received the Golden Rule International Award. Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Golden Rule International, gave the award. Dr. Pierce is the President and CEO of the Interamerica Group.

Dr. Rampersad works in her country, Trinidad and around the world as an advocate for women and human rights. TEXAS JUDGE WINS GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL AWARD

In August 2014 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award presented Judge Sam Griffin with the highly esteemed Golden Rule International Award. 

Judge Griffin is a 12th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge in Texas and serves his people in this capacity. He also has traveled to the Middle East and other parts of the world to help aid people in improving their quality of life.

Dr. Clyde Rivers is quoted saying “To have a judge leave the bench to help humanity is a quality that makes this man so great. His life exemplifies the Golden Rule, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ We need more champions like him in the world. We proudly welcome him to the Golden Rule International Goodwill Peace Ambassadorship family of world peace makers.”

In Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the Cherokee Nation Head Quarters, Chief Principle Bill Baker, leader of the Cherokee Nation, was involved in presentations at a Golden Rule International Award Ceremony. He and Monika Ponton Arrington, Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative Representative, beautifully represented the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award with members of the Cherokee Nation.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers says, “We are so honored to have the Sovereign Cherokee Nation embrace the Golden Rule International Award. It is very significant to have the leadership of a nation embrace the Golden Rule Global Ethic, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ This shows the world that their nation is heading in a direction of peace that the world has never seen before.”

Chief Principle Bill Baker, the leader of the Cherokee Nation also received the valued iChange Nations Global Leadership Award. With its collaborative partners, iChange Nations has implemented an International Honorary Award infrastructure. At the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on August 26, 2014 - Ambassador Clyde Rivers received the prestigious, Life of Honor Humanitarian Award. Ambassador Rivers lives to the maximum, a life of honor. As he travels the world he carries the culture of honor into cultures where honor is not practiced. He is literally bringing change to the world by valuing people. He carries the “Culture of Honor” in his integrity and his dealings. He sees the good in mankind and is compelled to bring it forth. He sees the fruit of this mindset everywhere he goes. Because of this, his receiving this award sets the standard high. Ambassador Rivers commented, “I am humbled and honored to receive this award. I will continue to find great men and women to honor because greatness lies in all of mankind.”

She labors on behalf of this nation to spread the message and defend Israel and the Jewish people against the new Anti-Semitism.

Dr. Clyde Rivers stated, “Mrs. Cardoza-Moore is the embodiment of a true Ambassador of the Golden Rule International. We are honored to welcome her to the alumni of the distinguished list of global Golden Rule International Award recipients. We at the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiatives (IPI) Golden Rule International Awards Presentation, at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum, are extremely honored to gather top humanitarians from all over the world. In 120 nations we are in the process of establishing April 5th as the Golden Rule Day International. This is a day in which there is no violence in the name of religion or culture in the world. We are pursuing this as a Resolution at the United Nations.

It gives me great honor to present Harrypersad Maharaj, the President of the Inter-Religious Organization of Trinidad and Tobago. This is the only country I have ever been to that has harmony among their religions and cultures. Harrypersad Maharaj has been a champion voice for peace within Trinidad and Tobago. His great leadership is now being recognized globally.

As well as the presentation of the Golden Rule International Award, the President and Founder of iChange Nations, Ambassador Clyde Rivers surprised Harrypersad Maharaj with the iChange Nations Global Leadership Award, for his work to unify the different cultures in Trinidad and Tobago and around the world. Ambassador Clyde Rivers said of Harrypersad Maharaj, “He will be known in the nations of the world as a man of peace. This will be his legacy to mankind.” Two of the past recipients of this award are, the President of the Taino Nation, Robert Mukaro and the President of the Cherokee Indian Nation, Bill Baker. These are two of many great men and women recipients. To see unity and diversity celebrated at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library is a great day for the world. President Ford was a man that believed in unity and diversity so it is not by chance that we are at this Presidential Museum presenting these honors to our great global leaders.

Ambassador Mussie Hailu, one of the world’s top philanthropists, is the first recipient of the iChange Nations Person of the Year Award. The award was presented by Professor Clyde River, President of iChange Nations, at the Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum during the Golden Rule International Award Ceremony.

The mission of iChange Nations™ is to bring back the lost art of honor by building a culture that recognizes individuals throughout the world, those who have accomplished extraordinary humanitarian efforts to effectively change nations. iChange Nations™, with its collaborative partners, have implemented an International Honorary Award infrastructure. This infrastructure empowers and equips our citizens and alumni members with the tools needed to effectively pursue and transform the world.

Professor Rivers commented, “I have watched the work of Ambassador Hailu as one of the worlds top peace activists for several years. He is responsible for bringing unity and peace to several nations of the world. He is the Founder of the peace organization Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI) that has worked actively since 2003 to promote an interfaith culture of peace. Ambassador Hailu established the Golden Rule International Award, as well as, the initiative of the Golden Rule International Award Day. We have now reached over 130 nations of the world with the message of the Golden Rule –  ‘treat others as you want to be treated’. ”

Ambassador Clyde Rivers, the North American Division Leader for the Golden Rule International and the Representative to the United Nations, New York for Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, awarded Congressman Jim Beall the prestigious Golden Rule International Award. The ceremony was conducted on June 8th, 2014 at the Star of David Ministry in San Jose, California.

The Golden Rule International Award is now established in 120 nations of the world. This organization seeks out top achievers that live the Golden Rule in their everyday life. This is a new global ethic that the leadership of the Golden Rule International Award, Patron, former President of Ethiopia, Girma Wolde and Ambassador Mussie Hailu has embraced and is promoting globally. Congressman Beall was a major player in helping bring better education to the youth and children of California - spearheading several initiatives. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ambassador Fidelia Graand-Galon of the Republic of Suriname, South America received the Golden Rule International Goodwill Ambassadorship Award. The Golden Rule Award is given to those whose lives exemplify the motto: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
